What the Sketch + Book Club is
The Sketch + Book Club is a space for designers to build stronger instincts by reading, sketching, and actually applying what they’re learning.
Every eight weeks, we read one design book together and reflect on the ideas that shape how we see and design homes. Instead of rushing, we take our time and talk through what stands out and why it matters.
Each month, we sketch provided reference images from a monthly focus. The goal is not perfection, but practice. Sketching helps you slow down, understand proportion and detail, and train your eye through repetition.
We meet once a month to discuss what we’re reading and sketching. These conversations turn ideas into clarity and help the learning stick.
Who is it for?
This is for anyone interested in design who wants to build their eye through practice. Designers, students, and design-curious creatives who want structure and accountability to keep learning.
What you’ll do
Read one design book every eight weeks, sketch monthly from curated references, monthly live zoom call discussions, and share notes, sketches, questions, and observations.
Why it works
Reading builds understanding. Sketching builds skill and observation. Regular conversation builds clarity and accountability to continuing our growth in the field. Together, they help you see design more clearly and grow with intention.
