I'm Rafi Inez. I run a residential design firm in Miami, and I teach aspiring designers how this career actually works.
I grew up on 30A surrounded by intentional architecture. My mom is an architect. I worked in her firm and for custom builders. I studied architecture at UF and FAMU, which gave me both the creative theory and the technical construction knowledge.
Then I spent 12 years learning what none of that formal education taught me about designing homes professionally.
Now I share everything because the industry gatekeeps and there's no reason for that.

How I Got Here
I'm 31. A single mom. I run a brick and mortar residential design firm in Miami's Little River neighborhood with hundreds of homes under my belt.
I grew up in Seaside on 30A, surrounded by some of the most intentional residential architecture in America. Seaside, Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach. These weren't just beach towns. They were living examples of how architecture shapes community and how homes should actually be designed.
My mom is an architect. I worked in her firm and for custom builders learning how homes actually get built. I studied architecture at UF and FAMU, which gave me both the creative theory and the technical construction knowledge.
Then I spent 12 years learning what none of that formal education taught me about designing homes professionally.
The real skills? I learned those by doing the work. Designing hundreds of homes. Learning what clients need. Understanding what builders require. Figuring out how to run projects that don't make me want to quit.
Now I teach aspiring designers the clear path I wish I had.
The industry gatekeeps. I share everything. Because the more we share, the better we all get. And there are enough beautiful homes for all of us to design.
